Taking your holiday on a budget means focussing on getting the very best deal you can in terms of where you go and what you get for your cash.

Most of us who are looking for a beach holiday or even a city break tend to stick to the areas which are well known, and many people don’t look outside Europe assuming that this will make their holiday more expensive not cheaper, but this isn’t always the case.  In actual fact, there are some places close to Europe, but not actually within it which can offer great holidays of a similar nature to those found within Europe, but at a lower cost.

One good example of somewhere that falls into this category is Turkey.  Turkey is a transcontinental Eurasian country that lies partly in the Anatolian peninsula in western Asia, and partly in the Balkan region of south eastern Europe.  It falls outside the Eurozone, and can be considerably cheaper for holidays than its western neighbours.

With the Mediterranean to the south and the Aegean to the west, and many fine beaches that remain relatively unspoilt, it offers a great opportunity for sun seeking holiday makers.  Modern beach resorts lie side by side with history and culture here and although most people who come here do head for those wonderful beaches, there are other options too such as Istanbul as well.

Turkey is currently considered one of the bargain basement destinations within the Mediterranean for holiday costs, but a warm welcome, great hospitality and friendly atmosphere greet any visitors here, so it’s certainly not bargain basement when it comes to the holiday experience.

An alternative possible location to look at is Egypt.  Like with Turkey this region is becoming more popular for package holidays as it too offers plenty of sunshine and a great holiday environment.  Again like Turkey, it still doesn’t command the high prices that can often be found across Europe.

By choosing the right location, and searching for a good deal, you may well be able to bag yourself a real bargain and enjoy a luxury holiday on a shoestring budget.
