Anyone wanting to visit Morocco for the desert will be pleasantly surprised with the amount of desert based activities on offer. You can ride camels through the Sahara desert, pitch a tent under the stars and experience being in the middle of a windy sandstorm. This is available largely in the South of Morocco but you can find this type of excursion elsewhere also.

If you want to enjoy some beach excursions for a different type of sand you will find lots of these available. Whether travelling alone, as a couple or with children you will find a vast array of different
excursions available. Asilah and Essaouira are some of the most popular beach towns and while these areas can become a little busy during the warmest weather months you will be able to enjoy horse riding, surfing, kayaking, snorkelling, diving and can even explore some ruins alone the coastal paths.

In addition to the wonderful sands available there are some stunning hiking paths that allow you to explore more of this beautiful country for yourself. The Atlas mountains will be an amazing location to
explore some of the World and take part in some hiking. There are numerous mountains here that offer lovely views and with different types of trek available there should be something for everyone from the beginner hikers to the most experienced.

Once you have explored the beaches and the desert you may want to winddown with a little shopping. There are lots of truly wonderful bazaars, particularly in Fez and Marrakech, where you will be able to pick up some unique gifts and souvenirs.

Morocco is a beautiful tourist destination with so much to offer but the thing that Morocco will always be most known throughout the world for is its beautiful culture and history. Fez, the popular and often
crowded city has been greeting tourists for many many years. You will find some of the richest history in Fez and there is some beautiful architecture which is Islamic in nature on display here. If you are
travelling with your family, in particular young children, and want to take in some sights and history without feeling crowded then look at Meknes, south of Fez, where you will find some architecture similar to
that in Fez, without as many of the crowds. Meknes is home to palaces and mausoleums so you will find plenty to see and do while here.

Being home to such beautiful architecture, delightful cuisine, fantastic weather and a vast wealth of history makes Morocco a real must see destination whatever your age.
